Job description
The School of Psychological Science invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 9-month, fixed-term position Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice position.

This position helps the School of Psychological Science engage in community-engaged research, teach career-relevant skills through experiential learning, and apply psychological science in real-world settings.
The School of Psychological Science resides in the College of Liberal Arts. The primary mission of the OSU School of Psychological Science is undergraduate and graduate education and research. School offers BA and BS degrees, an undergraduate minor, and a Ph.D.
In the School of Psychological Science, we recognize the social barriers that have systematically marginalized and excluded people based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual identity, socioeconomic background, age, disability, national origin, religion, being members of first nations or other indigenous communities, and other identities. We are committed to the equity of opportunities and strive to promote and advance diverse communities through our scholarship, teaching, and service. We value and proactively seek participation from members of these under-represented and under-served groups and recognize them as essential members of a rich academic and cultural environment. Additionally, our School prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion goals so that we may more effectively teach, advise, and mentor a diverse student body, and enhance the scope and impact of our health-related research and curricula. Therefore, candidates should describe demonstrable skills, experience, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the research and teaching statement portions of their application.
This position develops credit-bearing experiential learning connected to coursework and co-curricular experiences for BS/BA Psychology majors. Typical on-load coursework may include courses in Developmental Psychopathology, Abnormal Psychology, Educational Psychology, Human Lifespan Development, and/or Psychotherapy. On-load teaching will also include PSY 410 Psychology Internship at the practice site. In this way, Psychology majors will have the opportunity to learn and apply psychology content through an in-depth off-campus practice/internship site.
As a Land Grant university, Oregon State University has as part of its mission the conduct of locally/regionally meaningful education, research, and community outreach and engagement.
