Job Summary:
Equinix is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to work in a hybrid remote working environment for our federal team, to manage telecom carrier partner accounts, including invoicing, payments, and circuit actions to ensure our federal customer services are running at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Process transactions and perform account maintenance, record entries, and reconcile invoices
- Manage costs and revenue using Equinix proprietary software tools
- Ensure that all information is up to date between supporting files
- Manage accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Able to meet all processing and reporting deadlines consistently
- Monitor accounts to ensure that payments are up to date
- Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Analyze workflow processes
- Assist with establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Assist with acquiring quotes from telecommunication providers in a global market
- Assist with installations, testing, and turn-up of telecommunication services.
- Communicate with Customers effectively to ensure an on-time/quality of service delivery
Qualifications:
- Well organized with attention to detail is a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
- 4+ years of business experience; self-motivated, confident, and comfortable working in a matrixed organization
- Strong Partnership skills: Ability to create effective relationships, listen, communicate, influence, and collaborate cross-team at all organizational levels
- General understanding of accounting practices and principles
- Knowledge of using Oracle Databases preferred
- Knowledge of SFTP Servers a plus
- Knowledge of PGP encryption a plus
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Telecommunications / Networking experience is a plus
