Family, Friends, and Fun is out motto at Moorhead Country Club, and were looking for an energetic and motivated employee to join our management team as a Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This is a full-time, year around position.

Moorhead Country Club is a private, 18-hole golf course with driving range and great practice facilities. Moorhead Country was established in 1937 and is a classic style golf course with big mature trees nestled on the banks of Red River in the progressive community of Fargo/Moorhead. MCC recently completed a $1.3 million-dollar major renovation creating a new and exciting back nine. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and Equipment Manager on all golf course related decisions, where your input and ideas are valued and encouraged. Moorhead Country Club has a newer fleet of Toro equipment and are always looking to improve and add equipment to our fleet. New Toro VP Satellites along with Lynx irrigation software were installed spring of 2018.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Scheduling, training, supervision of the seasonal staff.
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications and calibration of equipment.
• Scheduling, maintenance, and repair of a Toro irrigation system with new VP Satellites and Lynx irrigation software.
• Assist with daily course operations.
• Aid in the planning and completion of course and club projects
• Participate in club capital purchases and budgeting.
• Other miscellaneous duties.

Requirements:

• Two or four-year degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, Plant Sciences or closely related field, or several years working in Turf Management capacity.
• Supervisory experience preferred but not necessary.
• Willing to learn, grow, and adept to ever changing Turf Management industry
• Must possess or have ability to obtain MDA pesticide applicators license
• Strong work ethic, highly organized, positive attitude, motivated, energetic leader, with a high attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license
