Assistant Toddler Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a professional, nurturing, innovative, and experienced Assistant Toddler Teacher who would like to be part of our teaching team in an state-of-the art preschool. This is a rare opportunity to be a part of a fully furnished and outfitted classroom with an AdvancED certified curriculum already in place. This is a care-giving position that also focuses on teaching.
Qualifications
- Two-year or Four-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or CDA
- Extensive experience working with infants – preferably in a school setting
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants
- Ability to effectively talk to parents about their child’s day and answer questions about developmental goals
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech
- Ability to work with other teachers in classroom
- Must demonstrate qualities of self-motivation, patience, creativity, dependability, and ability to make good judgment calls
- Must meet all state training requirements and pass criminal background check
- Comfortable using electronic communication
- Have a loving and nurturing attitude toward infants
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to needs of each child by following individual daily feeding and nap schedules and documenting all information
- Help lead teacher create exciting educational environment in your classroom that addresses all developmental domains by learning through play
- Work with lead teacher in planning and implementation of curriculum
- Teach basic baby sign language as part of lesson plans
- Maintain daily open communication with parents and discuss developmental progress and goals
- Maintain clean and safe learning environment so that classroom meets all state licensing and Kids ‘R’ Kids Hamilton Mill policies and procedures

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

- CPR Certification (Preferred)
