Job description
Under direct supervision, responsible for the accounting and reporting related to lease purchased crude volumes.
- Processes assigned incoming tickets (electronic & manual), ensuring all ticket data is captured correctly.
- Analyzes, interprets, prepares and processes all new lease information received from the crude buyers on various contracts for all oil and condensate purchased at the lease.
- Performs lease maintenance to include changes in operator, transporter, freight and lease name.
- Reviews and schedules tank strappings as needed.
- Performs month-end close duties to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assists with special projects for management or other operational areas as needed.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s or higher level degree - in Accounting preferred.
- 1 year of Accounting experience preferred.
- Refinery or related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of contract terms and their application preferred.
- Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, theories, and ability to apply them to the Corporation's accounting needs preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with various other departments and outside customers in a timely manner preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation preferred.
- Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications preferred.
- Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods preferred.
- Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes preferred.
- Ability to cross-train in other department duties to ensure efficient coverage department responsibilities preferred.
- Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements preferred.
- Basic skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel) preferred.
Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
