Our Bremwood Residential Treatment Center in Waverly has a long history of serving trauma-impacted kids in Iowa. LSI is looking for a compassionate, dedicated full-time Associate Caseworker to empower these children toward success.
Duties
The Associate Caseworker will provide direct service to children on Bremwood's campus in several ways, including:
- Conducting individual, group and skill development sessions and completing documentation in a timely manner
- Engaging in family participation whenever possible while utilizing the individual youth's treatment plan as a tool
- Demonstrating clinical competencies to understand client history in order to integrate and utilize the information when implementing treatment plans
- Delivering service in a manner that is consistent with goals for individuals served while providing opportunities for meaningful activities
- Independently assessing, making decisions, and intervening when needed, using the most appropriate and least restrictive interventions to assure group and individual safety
- Handling crises in a manner which minimizes disruption and assures safety, and
- Developing and maintaining positive, professional relationships with clients families while maintaining appropriate boundaries
This job is a perfect fit for someone interested in collaboration with other LSI team members and department workers. The Associate caseworker also assists with treatment services provided to children on campus, which may occur outside of normal business hours. This position may be part of an on-call rotation.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) OR a Bachelor's degree in non-human service-related field plus 30 hours of child mental health training
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
