This role serves as a departmental liaison for the utilization management department by researching and preparing responses to external clients. Along with providing exceptional customer service, this role is required to meet performance metrics to ensure service level expectations are met. A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their assigned discipline and knowledgeable in all workflow processes of the Clinical Operations and Client Services departments. Assists with special projects and helps identify opportunities for workflow process and other areas of improvement while ensuring compliance to NCH’s policies, legal requirements, and regulatory mandates.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
Ensuring timely resolution and responses to external client submissions, tracking activity, and addressing issues within the required performance standards.
Performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system accuracy and functionality.
Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure resolution in support of client inquiries and escalations
Ensure compliance with client requirements and business needs to ensure customer satisfaction
The Experience You’ll Need (Required):
2 or more years of relevant experience in Managed Care or a healthcare setting, preferably in a prior authorization environment
Strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Prior experience with Utilization Management

As such we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 MBPS and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is $18/hr, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
