Our Purpose
The Purpose of the Configuration Assurance department in Medtronic, plc is carrying out document control and project specific duties related to the general implementation and maintenance of the Medtronic PLM system, Agile, in accordance with Medtronic Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), R&D Product Specifications, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and customer requirements.

The Assoc. Configuration Assurance Admin is directly involved in reviewing changes, creating, and maintaining part attributes in the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) and ERP systems, and providing guidance to internal customers on the change process.

A Day in The Life Of Associate Configuration Assurance Admin:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Implementing, training, and auditing of all controlled documentation: drawings, procedures, reports, and any other document under revision control
  • Processing, distributing, and maintaining controlled documentation using owner document control system (Agile)
  • Processing documents for revision and approval
  • Administering the Engineering Change Request/Order and coordinating the preparation and review of change requests
  • Preparing reports to aid in determining effect of change on overall product.
  • Ensuring that customer requirements are implemented and reviewing change to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.

Key Skills & Experience


Qualifications

  • Level 8 Degree required
  • Attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office experience, especially MS Word
  • Ability to Communicate primarily with internal contacts within immediate group. Contacts others (Change Originators, Approvers etc.) to gather, confirm and convey information.
  • Delivers work of limited scope, typically smaller, less complex changes, or activities.
  • Ability to process simple document and part changes.
  • Makes minor changes in systems (PLM) and processes to solve problems
