About Bezzy
Bezzy ("Company"), a Healthline Media brand, is an online community committed to providing helpful resources and empathetic support for anyone navigating life with a chronic condition.
While we're still a part of the Healthline family, we wanted to create an all-new branded experience specifically focused on community for people living with chronic health conditions. Bezzy communities are safe, authentic environments that allow for shared vulnerability. In addition to connection, Bezzy offers high-quality, relatable content. We believe "community" is not just a place or a group: it's a feeling and a tool that inspires all of us to live better every day.
There are currently nine (9) chronic condition communities, accessible by web or app. They offer:
- Guided text-based live chats with a community guide
- 1:1 messaging to connect with other community members
- Informational, empathetic articles created specifically for the community
- A safe, moderated, and supportive community filled with people who truly understand
What You'll Do
Bezzy's editorial team is a dedicated group of 9 editors made up of staff and freelancers, who bring content to life on the Bezzy sites with empathy, integrity, and a commitment to editorial excellence. In this role, you will work with other editors, SEO analysts, freelance writers, designers, medical reviewers, copy editors, and members of adjacent teams such as newsletters, marketing, social, guides, etc. As an Associate Editor, you will:
- Onboard new freelancers
- Navigate payment issues
- Monitor editorial email inboxes, plus responding or handling
- Work with Bezzy community guides and social team on content generated from member forum and social posts
- Help curate and edit content for weekly newsletters
- Support the editorial team with writing, research, and editing help
- Work with SEO team and others to update and optimize content as needed
- Become an expert in Bezzy style, processes, and cross-team functionality
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong writing and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail, with a critical-thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Can-do attitude, self-starter, works well independently or with others
- Experience writing for publication
- Knowledge of basic editorial and journalistic best practices.
Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Starting Salary: $42,000-$55,000
- Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
