Job description
- Train extensively for a minimum of 6 months.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to solicit feedback for process improvement.
- Responsible for special projects and research determined by Traffic leadership.
- Maintain timely and professional communication with customer contacts on issues impacting service and overall performance
Your Future Role: Responsible for contracting and managing external partners product movement through maintaining and growing relationships with freight brokers and shippers.
- Independently research and contract for profitable back haul freight business that can be moved on DTI equipment.
- Identify opportunities for consistent freight needs and lead initiatives with internal partners to execute backhauling within those lanes.
- Lead initiatives to ensure our team is meeting or exceeding key performance indicators such as empty miles percent, custom haul revenue and billing/aging.
- Occasional overnight travel required; ability to travel without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
- On-call telephone availability will be required.

- Four-year college degree or equivalent Dot Foods Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Aptitude for strong selling and negotiating skills
