CenterPoint Energy is looking for an Associate Analyst, Project to join our Transport Planning, Performance and Design Team, located in Hoston, TX.

You will have the ability to: be responsible for identification, evaluation and tracking of installed telecommunication assets and circuits. Develops and maintains processes, procedures, systems and measurements that enable the organization to manage the installed Telecommunications and Network Operations assets with respect to risk, cost, control, governance, compliance, and business performance objectives. Evaluates installed asset performance, quality and conformance and reports results to management.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Responsible for day-to-day activities required to maintain communication circuits including necessity, appropriateness (i.e., bandwidth), documentation, billing, billing audits, moves, adds, changes, disconnects, etc.
• Facilitates the development of and maintains the service request process utilizing SAP Notifications
• Ensures SAP Equipment records are created and maintained in a manner that supports the accurate depiction of the location and unique data elements of Telecom Assets.
• Monitors and tracks assets in approved storerooms
• Supports and monitors master data creation activities
• Performs oversight of Purchasing and Materials Management activities (includes electronic shopping carts)
• Facilitates update of asset installation in asset management system, monitor for changes, and manage asset life cycle events.
• Tracks asset during repair/replacement process and documents resolution.
• Documents asset retirement and final disposition of asset.
• Coordinates with field personnel to track and identify all affected units, schedule outages to accommodate upgrades/ repairs and document in asset management system.
• Identifies significant issues and resolutions using independent judgment and analysis.
• Prepares work orders for recommended additions/modifications to communications systems.
• Ensures contractor work order completion documentation is accurate and complete with regard to asset installation.
• Facilitates repair and return of assets
• Prepares, organizes, and maintains installed asset records and files documenting location and status.
• Conducts research to support audits and/or facilitate business needs.
• Complement and support client and technical teams for collaboration on sourcing from a business perspective.

Your background includes:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. In lieu of the above specific degrees, will consider a combination of any education along with related experience in business or business support totaling four years, where 2 years’ experience equals 1 year of college.
• Minimum of two (2) years business experience in process facilitation, circuit management, asset management, financial processes (asset capitalization, unitization, and retirement processes), purchasing, or business management knowledge similar to those performed in business unit.
