Technology and Data Protection Associate - New opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Technology team.
This is an opportunity for a pro-active, experienced, and ambitious individual to join our dynamic team and will suit someone who enjoys having genuine responsibility for and has proven experience of interacting directly with clients, drafting contracts, and managing files. Responsibilities:
- Advising on technology-related and data protection matters as part of a Commercial Technology team in a large technology practice
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for international clients in the IT, telecoms, IP, financial services, life sciences, energy, and e-commerce sectors
- Advising international clients in relation to issues such as:
- Commercial contracts
- Data protection
- Cyber Security
- Licensing
- Systems Implementation and Development
- Outsourcing and cloud services
- e-Commerce
- Intellectual property
The Person:
- You are a qualified solicitor/lawyer
- You have 2-4 years PQE gained in a large or medium-sized firm
- You have excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
- You have proven experience of managing files and interacting directly with clients
- You are confident in taking responsibility for work requirements and client needs
- You have proven ability to deliver high quality work outputs
- You have a flexible approach to work
- You have the ability to work alone and as part of a team, be pragmatic and to stay calm under pressure
- You have the ability to prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines
