Associate Wealth Advisor / Tax Preparer

We are a successful, full-service CPA and Wealth Management Firm, located in Goleta, California. Walpole offers a broad range of services including Tax Preparation and Planning, Estate and Trusts, Client Accounting Services, Wealth Management and Information Technology Solutions.

Our firm is looking to add an ambitious, resourceful Associate Wealth Advisor / Tax Preparer to our team. This individual will work with both the Tax Accounting Department and the Wealth Management Department in managing the client relationship, actively participating in the advanced planning process for investing, retirement, estate planning and tax planning.

Wealth Management Advisor - Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Learns and master’s investment philosophy and evidence based investing.

-Facilitates the consulting process through the preparation and follow-up of each step of the client experience and active participation in client meetings.

- Create and update financial plans through our financial planning software.

- Serves day-to-day client needs and collaborates with team members to ensure the highest level of service.

- Manages client onboarding process.

- Engages in business planning efforts and actively supports the firm’s strategic priorities.

- Work with participants of employer sponsored retirement plans to encourage saving for retirement.

Tax Prepare – Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and review Tax Returns

- Assists with tax records, tax forms, and reporting preparation.

- Review and prepare complete, well-documented sets of working papers in support of the tax return preparation process.

- Perform tax research and planning to manage client deliverables.

- Prepare Financial Statements

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of financial services or accounting experience.
  • Core knowledge of accounting principles, financial industry, financial products and financial planning concepts.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • Clean U4
  • Progress towards CFP® and CPA or EA preferred.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, able to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others, internally and externally, and communicate with various personality types and levels of expertise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
