Qualifications

  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient with a digital sound board in a production environment, including setting up, patching, and mixing. Must have prior of knowledge of x32
  • Knowledge of audio/visual equipment, including monitors, sound boards, speakers, various microphones, and other audio equipment
  • Must have knowledge of running Live Stream Mix and in ear mixes
  • Ability to conduct a sound check quickly and effectively
  • Should be organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to details.
  • Must have the ability to work well independently as well as creatively in a team setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including technical resolution
  • Training and apprenticing audio ministry volunteers to assist with the operation of the audio ministry
  • Must have reliable and dependable transportation

Responsibilities

  • The Rock Place Church is seeking a competent Sound Engineer with the knowledge and skills of operating and maintaining technical equipment used to record, enhance, and mix sound•
  • The preferred candidate should be capable of effectively helping to create best sound quality for live church music/sound both in sanctuary and migrating the sound for live viewers and recordings.
  • Ideal technician would be someone who has a passion for advancing the Kingdom of God through ministry in music
  • Must be available for choir rehearsals on Saturdays 9am-11:30am and Sunday services, 9am-12pm. Must be available as needed for special events. Will need to be available during services for maintenance of sound and after service for breakdown/closing.
  • Performing proper sound checks as directed which may include gain settings, monitor mixes, proper volume and balance settings, and the eq/mixing process
  • Monitoring and maintaining signal integrity to provide the highest quality sound during services, recordings, and live events
  • Identifying and fixing any sound-related issues that arise in a timely manner
  • Evaluating the equipment and software for upgrades and overseeing the maintenance and repairs of audio and equipment
