Local Unit & Position Description
DNV Business Assurance is seeking a Food and Beverage Sector Manager to support the development of the sector in North America for BRC, FSSC and SQF accreditation schemes and Training Programs. The selected candidate will be expected to manage the team of auditors and contractors.
What You ll Do:
- Ability to attract new business through personal and business relationships
- Significant market knowledge, able to identify trends and position DNV with evolving market segments
- Ability to engage at all levels in complex matrix organizations
- Ensure DNV Business Assurance visibility within internal and external clients and customers, managing customer relationship to improve retention, handling and monitoring customer feedbacks and complaints
- Assess, on a continual basis, the financial results of the activity and provide input regarding price policy for the activities within the Region
- Ability to identify future resources and attract them to DNV
- Capacity planning based on market trends
- Manage and support auditor staff, including Annual Goal Process, Sector Meetings, and Annual Training
- Actively participate in progression/utilization meetings
- Understand resource needs and support hiring and onboarding processes of new auditors
- Participate in recruitment process for new Food and Beverage Resources
- Complete required competency documents and support development & maintenance for new and existing auditors
- Support clients and Account Representatives for any issues that arise regarding auditor performance
- Technical Support between auditors and the GCU
- Run specific reports to ensure Technical Review timeliness
- Billable audit days (20%) (Qualified auditor only)
Position Qualifications
What is required
- Bachelor s degree or higher or 5 years equivalent experience
- Demonstrable customer service and presentation skills
- Individual must have high initiative, be positive, detail oriented, be adaptive and receptive to change, work well under pressure within tight deadlines and capable of working with minimal direction while ensuring quality output
- Ability to think creatively and to work well both as part of a team and as an individual contributor
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access\
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
Management Experience Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years management experience with demonstrable ability to manage team KPI s, monitor and provide performance feedback to individual members of team, and provide direct support to clients as needed.
Accreditation Experience Requirements
- Min. five (5) years work experience with the relevant certification scheme; SQF, BRC, or FSSC
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret technical requirements and/or accreditation rules and apply them to their respective industry during administrative/technical reviews of documentation
