Revere Electric Supply Company, a well-established electrical automation distributor and market leader, is seeking a Mechatronics Automation Product Specialist (PS) for the Northern IL territory. A successful candidate will provide engineering sales support for the specification, sizing, and selection of Rockwell Automation and Partnering products applied in mechatronic applications. The role is primarily a self-directed regional outside position, involving local travel to customers.

The PS will support the Corporate Strategic Business Plan and be required to have and maintain technical acumen to support related Business Unit (BU) products. They will have demonstrated technical, sales, commercial, and interpersonal skills, and the desire for personal and professional development.

Preferred skills, background, and / or experience:

• Have core competency for the current technology as it relates to PLC / PAC / Motion Control / Networks / Software and related mechanical solutions.
• Ability to identify and demonstrate technology solutions for customer applications.
• Ability to provide pre and post technical support for internal/external customers.
• Ability to conduct training and seminars for customers, driving interest in Revere solutions.

• Ability to lead and coordinate the sales teaming efforts required to identify and close account conversion and project sales opportunities.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Four-year engineering/technical degree preferred. Technical associate degree or applicable experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial Automation market preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation standards & terminology.
  • Knowledge of control systems and computer technology.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture is a plus.
  • Strong application knowledge.
• Team-oriented individual who strives for customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
• Proficient with Windows based operation systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
