Tire Technician

Full Time Position

Moore's Tire & Service in Coalville is now hiring fulltime tire technicians who excel in a fast-paced work environment. Moore's TIre is a family owned and operated shop that prides itself on honestly, reliability, and having a strong team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include and are not limited to):

- Semi tire mount, dismount, and tire repair

- Service truck for onsite semi tire service (Pay is higher for onsite service)

- Balance and rotate tires

-Mount tires and wheels without damaging tires or wheels

- Dismount tires from wheels without damaging tires or wheels

- Tire repairs when the tire is still structurally sound. May include a patch and/or replacing tire components.

- Inspect vehicle tires for signs of wear and potential failure.

- Inflate tires correctly for size and ply

- Check tire expiration dates before installing.

- Check tire tread before installing tires onto a vehicle.

-Washing tires and wheels

- installing/rebuilding and/or relearning/calibrating TPMS

- Perform seasonal tire swaps

-Inspect the tires on the vehicle before and after installation.

- Discard old tires to the shop’s tire recycling pile

- Identify and bring customer tires to and from tire storage racks.

- Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency.

- Test drive vehicles

-Perform battery tests

- Maintain shop equipment.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

- Follow all safety protocols, job duties, and company policies in the shop.

- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning as needed.

- Greet all customers

- Work as a team

Qualifications:

-Must be reliable.

-Must have reliable transportation.

- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast pace environment

-Must be able to safely lift 75 pounds or more multiple times per day.

- Must be able to frequently bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach, stand and walk throughout the day.

- Experience using tire machines (a plus but we will train the right person).

- 18 years of age or older.

- Valid Utah Driver’s License

- Clean driving record

- Strong customer service skills

- Ability to clearly communicate tire issues and recommendations to customers

- Friendly and positive disposition

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

COVID-19 considerations:
Common surface disinfecting, wearing rubber gloves, and masks in customers cars

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Automotive Repair: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• ASE Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
