Who We Are Seeking

AHCCS is seeking a student focused, passionate, and motivating Auxiliary Teacher to join our school!

The Auxiliary Teacher will be responsible for:

• Fill in as a substitute teacher for regular teachers and co-teach on days a substitute is not needed.
• Design PA Standards-aligned lessons and assessments for use in the Cyber environment;
• Create report cards and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
• Support the instructional program with live web conferencing sessions.
• Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers on a regular basis to develop and update curriculum, provide feedback on student work.
• Work collaboratively with Departments to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through course work and established goals are being met, and students and families are receiving appropriate communications.
• Provide students and parents with additional assistance for daily assignments and projects.
• Keep student records and data up to date, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance accounting, and logging all student and parent contacts.
• Consult and collaborate with Special Education team members to develop alternate enrichment activities and modifications to students' programs to increase student understanding.
• Participate in the organization and administration of the State Testing.
• Assist in special projects, as appropriate.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree and PA Teaching certificate in a General Education subject such as English, Math, Science and/or Social Studies. Previous experience working in a Cyber School environment is a positive factor!

Required Certificates/Clearances: Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release. Must also complete Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training.
