• Detailed Description:

  The Cloud Engineer is responsible for expanding, developing, implementing and operationalizing our cloud practice. This position is centered around Azure with the possibility of AWS & GCP exposure. We are looking for an experienced senior engineer with extensive knowledge and experience across a broad set of infrastructure and application technologies. The ideal candidate will have a vision for the future of these technologies and the ability to develop and execute the plan to get there.

  Responsibilities:

• Migrating and refactoring from local server environments to Azure based Cloud Architecture
• SME for the Azure Platform with the goal of enabling other teams
• Platform centralized policy and baselines
• Collaboration with compliance teams to ensure design meets requirements
• Monitoring and performance tuning of cloud workloads
• Cost and related optimization
• Documenting of best practices and articulating process improvements
• Developing automations and/or applications
• Automation of data transfer using file transfer technologies such as SFTP, etc.
• 24/7 support and support of cloud solutions

• Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or related experience
• Previous cloud experience
• Extensive infrastructure, applications and security knowledge and experience

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Significant experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
• Experience with other Cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Experience with scripting and programming
• Experience supporting complex production application environments
• Experience with Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Office365 Message Encryption, architectural design, migration management and support of large-scale implementations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory
• Experience with Identity and Access Management principals in a least privilege model
• Managed the Cloud hosting platform as well as the design and implementation of higher-level services such as the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS layers, Authentication/Authorization, Data encryption, Key management services integration and other security services.
• Experience working within an Agile framework.
• IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
• Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps
