SALES EXECUTIVE - BLACK ENTREPRENEUR INITIATIVE
The Lonely Entrepreneur (www.lonelyentrepreneur.com) is seeking a B2B Sales Executive that will become an integral sales team member of The Lonely Entrepreneur.
In 2021, we launched an important initiative that is long overdue to empower the Black community. It is called the Black Entrepreneur Initiative. While we undertake the essential task of reworking our justice system, The Lonely Entrepreneur is committed to unlock the talents of every black man and woman and impact their economic justice. Our goal is to empower 100,000 black entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools and support black entrepreneurs need to succeed.
This initiative has resulted in unprecedented support from corporate and philanthropic partners including UPS, Molson Coors, AARP, ESPN, Urban League, the Milwaukee Bucks, Lakewood Church, Richard Petty Motorsports, the NFL Players Association, the Charlotte Hornets, Wells Fargo, Urban Upbound, and many more.
In this role, you will be reaching out to the many companies, philanthropies, governments, and other organizations that have committed to social justice efforts. As part of our initiative, we ask organizations to sponsor a certain number of entrepreneurs to receive free access to the Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community – a SAAS platform that serves as a one stop shop for entrepreneurs to bring together the knowledge, skills and tools every Black entrepreneur needs. It gives entrepreneurs multiple ways to get the answers they need including:
- Knowledge: 500 learning modules on business and personal issues entrepreneurs face
- Tools: 100s of templates (e.g., legal agreements) and reviews of vendors (e.g., CRM)
- Ongoing Support and Community: through two channels - an online community and group coaching - where they can get their questions answered
- 150+ Funding Sources: exposure to funding opportunities
- 50+ Vendor Vetting and Deals: vetted vendors and deals (including some free services)
- 200+ Procurement Opportunities: opportunities to offer services to larger companies

The sales executive will be responsible for securing sponsorships from organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong B2B sales experience (especially with SAAS or other technology products)
- Ability to apply a core product across multiple industries and segments
- Strategically and tactically penetrate corporate accounts
- Identify potential customers and set and execute an aggressive sales plan
- Create a mix of strategic and tactical sales closes to create a dynamic pipeline and meet objectives
- Identify qualified prospects and develop customer relationships
- Deliver an established number of sales activities and proposals on a monthly basis
- Demonstrate advantages and benefits of our recommended solution to prospects
- Close business and provide after-sales reports ensuring growth year over year
- Maintain a large database of qualified prospects through all methods; social media, cold calling, personal visits, and networking
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Demonstrated sales ability, with assertive, positive and persistent style
- 3-5 years of prior experience in B2B sales strongly preferred
- Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of performance
- Ability to execute sales strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills; team oriented; conceptual/consultative sales skills
- Motivated, self-starter with effective time management skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as being a collaborative team member
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel and CRM.
COMPENSATION:
Base: Base $60,000 - $90,000
Competitive commission
Expected Earning at Plan: $250,000
