Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

We’re currently looking for an occasional babysitter in Gig Harbor, 98335

A lovely family in Gig Harbor is seeking a backup babysitter for their energetic and fun 3 year old and 5 year old sons to start as soon as possible. Care is needed intermittently with days known a few weeks in advance.

Upcoming dates needed include:

• March 28th, 4pm-8am (overnight + drop off children at school the next morning)
• March 29th, 4pm-11pm
• March 30th, 4pm-8pm
• May 4th, 4pm-8pm

There will be occasional overnights needed with care ranging from 4pm-8am. You will be permitted to sleep in the guest bedroom while the children are sleeping. The children's bedtime is around 7:30pm and the youngest child wakes up anytime between 5am-7am. A great candidate will be kind, engaging, and encourage less screen time. There are 2 dogs in the home; a large friendly dog and a small dog. The small dog will be kept away - no pet care is needed.

• Start date: ASAP
• End date/Length of Position: Long term, minimum 1 year
• Schedule: Varies, primarily anytime between 4pm-8am (overnight)
• Compensation: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience
• $150 flat rate from 8pm-5am (overnight during sleep hours)

* Gas reimbursement when driving the children

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Driving children; school pick ups/drop offs and occasional after school activities
• Engaging with the children; reading, play, etc.
• Bedtime routines
• Occasional meal prep
• Tidying up after self and children

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience as a babysitter, nanny, or in a daycare setting
• Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have a reliable vehicle to transport the children, car seats will be provided
• Must be comfortable around dogs (1 large and 1 small)
• Non smoker

• Are you available to provide care on Tuesday March 28th from 4pm-8am (overnight, you will be allowed to sleep while the children sleep)?
• Are you available to provide care on Wednesday March 29th from 4pm-11pm?
• Are you available to provide care on March 30th and May 4th from 4pm-8pm both days?
• Are you comfortable around dogs? (Please reference back to the job description for more details).
• The rate for this position is $20-$25 per hour (during wake hours). You will be paid a flat rate of $150 during overnight hours (8pm-5am) which meets Washington state minimum wage. Does the offered rate align with what you are looking for in your next position?
