Barista & Café Staff

L.A. Burdick Chocolates, celebrated for its exquisite artisanal chocolates, beverages and pastries, is looking for enthusiastic and motivated full-time and part-time team members at our Walpole NH café located on Main Street.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide outstanding customer service through strong product knowledge and barista skills
• Make and serve hot and cold beverages, including the signature drinking chocolate, meeting company’s quality standards
• Display and package pastries for guests following company’s quality standards
• Develop a thorough understanding of L.A. Burdick products and brand experience
• Proficiently and courteously process orders and accurately handle cash register operations
• Uphold the company’s operational standards including those regarding inventory and rotation, maintaining clean and aesthetically pleasing environment for customers and coworkers, merchandising, timeliness, and dress code
• Follow all food safety and safety guidelines and regulations

Skills, Traits and Experiences

• Enthusiastic about fine chocolates, pastries, and beverages
• General experience of customer and food service and retail sales
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced service environment
• Be a good listener, honest, and responsible teammate
• Professionally dressed and well-presented
• Work well in a team environment
• Must be reliable
• Ability to work some weekends and evenings
• Ability to stand and walk for a full shift
• Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers to operate the espresso machine, cash register, among others
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach above shoulder level and below waist level, for example, to grab boxes or cups
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
