Juniper is looking for motivated baristas and service professionals to craft coffee and make meaningful connections. We are a new bakery and cafe in San Francisco from the team at Saint Frank Coffee.

The mission at Juniper is simple, to pair joyful generosity with pastry and coffee.

Saint Frank was founded in 2013 with a vision for a friendly world-class coffee bar driven with direct and collaborative producer relationships in remote regions. Saint Frank is an independent coffee roaster and retailer with a roastery warehouse and coffee bar locations in San Francisco and Menlo Park.

The Job

We are hiring front of house baristas for our bakery cafe at 1401 Polk in San Francisco. This job involves:

• Knowledge of our coffees and preparing high level coffee drinks
• Serving guests with genuine hospitality
• Multitasking in a teamwork dynamic
• Plating dishes prepared by our culinary team
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for work and our guests
• Daily scheduled periods for cultivating presence and mindfulness

All of our baristas in the company have the opportunity to learn and dive deeper into the specialty coffee supply stream. If your connection with our michelin trained pastry team inspires you there can also be future opportunities in the kitchen.

Requirements

• Coffee experience is preferred but not required, we can teach you!
• Occasionally write by hand, twist/bend/stop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, life/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 15 pounds
• Able to work in small spaces in close proximity to others in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to traverse all parts of the café quickly.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
• Ability to stand up to 8+ hours, 5 days a week
