JOB SUMMARY: Greet all Guests providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products. Help setup, clean, and maintain condition of restaurant equipment. Complete opening and closing duties including restocking items and maintaining overall cleanliness. Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to satisfactorily communicate effectively with Guests, Management, and co-workers to their understanding
• Ability to provide legible communication
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to communicate and understand Guests' service needs
• Ability to adhere to all recipe and presentation standards
• Performs cashier function ringing up purchased items, ensures accuracy in handling cash and credit card transactions
• Maintains stock levels , cleanliness for cups , sleeves , ice , espresso beans and brew coffee
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that staff can locate resources and product as needed and emptying any necessary garbage
• Maintains food case and prepares food items including sandwiches, salads, etc. According to established departmental policies and procedures.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Maintain complete knowledge of the POS system
• Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies
• Anticipate Guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge Guests even when busy.
• Maintain positive Guest relations
• Be familiar with all services/features and activities to respond accurately to any Guest inquiry
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirement.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Honolulu Liquor Commission Blue Card
• ServSafe Certification
• Strong communication skills with customers and staff, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational aptitude
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CPR/First Aid certification is desirable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous hospitality, serving and/or barista experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing to work long hours as required.
• This position requires standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
