Reports to: General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager - ALL On-Site Managers

Edgewater Beach and Cabana Club, NJ’s Premiere Beach Club, is looking for part time Bartenders, Barbacks and Cocktail Servers for our upcoming season. Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays if needed. All applicants must have reliable means of transportation (private or public), willing to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times. Must be hard working, self-motivated, punctual and exercise good judgment. Have the ability to complete all necessary POS utilizing computer and/or IPad technology. All applicants must have at least 2 years of hospitality experience, bartenders must obtain Sea Bright ABC card, be eligible to work in the U.S, be over the age of 18, and be TIPS certified.

General Purpose:

Engage in the day to day operations of the tiki bar and inside main bar of Edgewater Facilities. Maintain a high level of service to all members of EBCC. Ideal candidates are hard-working, multi-tasker and highly motivated.

Essential Duties:

• Bartenders will be expected to have a full knowledge of cocktails/ wine/beer in addition to the tiki bar’s signature cocktails. Engage members at either the tiki bar or inside main bar, handle transactions, taking food/drink orders, serving food, knowledge of POS system.
• Cocktail servers should have a general knowledge of cocktails/wine/beer and full knowledge of tiki signature cocktails. Cocktail servers will cover the entire facility to serve members food and drink, including but not limited to cabanas, walkways, beach, poolside. Knowledge of POS systems, IPad.
• Barbacks should have a general knowledge of a bar workflow, ability to lift/change beer kegs, lift 50lbs. Barbacks daily duties is keeping the bars fully stocked of liqour, beer, wine, fruit, condiments, paper products, etc.
• Bartenders and cocktail servers expected to be available for any private events/functions.
• All tiki staff must maintain good hygiene, clean uniform and name tag at all times while on premise..
• All staff must follow all rules and regulations set forth by facility.
• All staff must be aware of daily club happenings, parties,,member & catered events.
• All staff greets members and their guests in a courteous manor.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Adhere to ALL Club policies and procedures

Experience and Skills:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Regularly stands, walks, talks and hears. Regularly uses hands. Occasionally climbs. Barbacks

Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. Changing beer kegs.

Environment/Noise:

Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

ABC card, TIPS certified. (Barbacks do not need TIPS)

Experience:

• Hospitality : 2 years (Preferred)

• 20-30 - Must work weekends

Pay Frequency:

• Bi- weekly (Cash tips per day worked)
