The Intensive Behavior Center (IBC) is an intensive, short-term treatment facility for individuals who have intellectual disabilities and co-occurring mental illnesses. IBC provides an environment for building healthy, effective, and fulfilling lives so those receiving treatment can live successfully in the community after discharge.


Under direction, serves as a senior clinician providing advanced technical behavioral analysis and consulting services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Responsible for the design and implement behavior support plans for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Responsibilities also include making observations of client behavior/psychiatric symptoms and the completion of functional and other behavioral assessments.


As part of the administrative staff, this position works to establish and then maintain leading applied behavior analytic (ABA) practices at IBC. This includes providing supervision and oversight to two other staff responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of behavior and recreation services. They also provide professional development through delivery of competency-based teaching to shift managers and direct support professionals (DSPs) to facilitate continuity of care.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis and behavioral principles, theories, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of modern treatment practices of clients diagnosed with an intellectual or other developmental disability.
  • Ability to collect, compile, organize, and analyze data.
  • Ability to train others to implement components of behavior support plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis or related field (e.g., psychology, education), from a graduate program accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis.
  • Recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • May accept a graduate degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education), from a graduate program not certified by the Association for Behavior Analysis, pending review of coursework to determine alignment with expected education and practice.
  • May substitute licensure or certification other than the BCBA, with additional years of experience serving in the capacity of a behavior analyst.
  • Montana license as a Behavior Analyst, preferred.
  • Previous experience in the developmental disabilities field of service.
