Position: Behavioral Health Technician | Footprints to Recovery Elgin IL | Full Time 2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm)

Footprints to Recovery’s approach to drug and alcohol treatment and medical detox is simple; we listen and make use of new methods, research, and activities to assist in recovery. Every individual presents with a different story that is unique to him or her. From the first contact to individual, group, or family sessions we work with our clients to develop a personalized plan that addresses each client’s needs. We are looking for a dynamic Behavioral Health Tech to support clinical and non-clinical staff as well as building administration in the provision of technical and auxiliary clinical services to ensure comprehensive and effective daily programming and functionality.

Job Duties:

• The Behavioral Health Technician collects, monitors, and documents urinalysis samples and breathalyzer screenings
• Send out daily email communications to clinical staff
• The Behavioral Health Technician monitors and maintains inventory of all supplies and storage closet, and advise supervisor when supplies are due to be ordered
• Responsible for monitoring clients throughout hours of operation, including a walk-through of the building every 15 minutes as assigned
• The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the cleanliness of the building
• Ensure compliance with Federal Regulations pertaining to client confidentiality
• The Behavioral Health Technician schedules and provides transportation in accordance with transportation policy and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles
• The Behavioral Health Technician maintains travel logs and vehicle safety checklists
• Provides local transportation of clients
• The Behavioral Health Technician provides backup support for reception needs
• Monitors and oversees the use of the computers
• The Behavioral Health Technician provides support to clinical staff and medical staff
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Current CPR certification
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly
• Must have a strong ability to multi-task
• Must have knowledge of all Microsoft Office suites including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge in the field of Substance Use Disorders
• Experience with EMR’s (Electronic Medical Records)
• CNA License
