The Benefits and Business Manager is a member of the Campus Child Care (CCC)
Central Office team. The successful candidate will be ready to inform staff about their benefits options, teacher compensation, coordinate professional development events, and oversee IT-related issues.
Supervisors: Human Resources Director and Finance Director
Benefits:
● Orient new employees to their benefits options
● Collect, review, and file documents necessary for hire and benefits enrollment
● Be responsible for parking passes, background records checks, and university IT processes
● Support current staff through the benefits Open Enrollment period
● Assist HR Director in management of leaves, both paid and unpaid
● Track/process any special benefits, such as staff child care assistance
Compensation:
● Create and maintain payscale and employment agreement spreadsheets
● Generate paysheets and employment agreements for all current and prospective employees, including raises
Professional Development:
● Coordinate the annual Day of Learning (DOL), including site and catering arrangements, speaker arrangements, etc.
● Administer the tuition assistance program
Information Technology (IT):
● Ensure that phone, WiFi, computers, copiers, and other technology are functioning properly
● Serve as CCC’s Written Information Security Program (WISP) officer
● Create and review procedures on handling of personal information, applicable physical records, internet accounts, and making sure computers are secure and personal information is transmitted securely
Central Office Support:
● Responsible for purchasing and deliveries for the central office and CCC as a whole
● Trained to help cover many critical central office duties
Desired Qualifications: Preferably, the candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience operating as a benefits or business manager with nonprofits and/or small businesses. Excellent knowledge of electronic spreadsheets is required. Highly detail-oriented. Dealing with sensitive topics and an ability to prioritize confidentiality is a must. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Working Conditions: Primarily in the CCC central office environment using computers. Occasional travel to the organization’s 7 child care centers in
Cambridge (5) and Allston (2). May be required to lift/move up to 50lbs.
Proof of covid vaccination, including the latest booster, is required as a condition of employment.
Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
