We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Benefits & Compensation Project Manager position, joining our Nottingham, PA team.

  • SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, potential for hybrid work schedule following 6 month training period.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing oversight for the benefits & compensation programs and HRIS systems, including hardcopy and electronic file systems for HR information reporting. This position will contribute to the company s achievement by developing benefit & compensation strategies, policies and programs that align with its mission statement and objectives in a cost-effective manner. This position works closely with the SVP-HR to plan, direct, coordinate, communicate & implement company-wide benefit & compensation programs.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Benefits

  • Considers prevailing industry and area practices to monitor competitiveness of current benefit programs through benchmarking on a local, regional and national level.
  • Recommends benefit changes and offerings which are cost-effective, consistent with trends, market competitive and result in continuous improvement toward industry best practices.
  • Plans and directs the implementation and administration of employee benefits including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Prescription, Life, Disability, EAP, Voluntary, Retirement and Leave programs.
  • Maintains and analyzes benefits budgets, provides explanation of variances, and proactively initiates proper cost controls. Monitors and reports the cost effectiveness of each benefit program.
  • Plans, develops, delivers effective employee communication strategies to include: benefits open enrollment process; new employee benefit orientations; benefit plan education and awareness campaigns targeted to employee families; management communications, and newsletter articles in collaboration with the Human Resources personnel.
  • Oversee all programs for compliance with state and Federal government regulations, which may include COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA, FMLA, ACA, ADA, etc.
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive wellness program company-wide that helps employees and their families on becoming better consumers of healthcare and understanding their individual health risks.

Compensation

Primary responsibility for compensation processes including salary planning, market pricing analysis, bonus and other incentive pay plans.

  • Develops and administers all bonus and incentive plans.
  • Prepares and conducts the annual salary planning process in conjunction with the HR Business Partners and management staff including data gathering, salary analysis, and upload of new pay data into the HRIS.
  • Completes salary surveys to ensure market competitiveness of pay ranges.
  • Market prices all internal benchmark jobs and updates position pay ranges.
  • Ensures compliance with all compensation laws and stays current on regulatory changes.
  • Prepares and/or participates in government filings, plan audits, and other tax reporting requirements as needed.

Special Projects:

  • Ancillary projects as needed such as cost analysis, forecasting & budget impacts

HR/Safety File Maintenance

  • Primary responsibility for all HR and Safety hardcopy and electronic file maintenance
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws on record-keeping
    • Strategy and maintenance of electronic record-keeping

Reliable attendance and punctuality are also required. The employee is also expected to perform other related duties, special projects and functions as required from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources or related business field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a position focused on detailed project execution & deliverables
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation preferred but not required. Pursuance of this designation is preferred.
  • Experience in compensation administration and pay plan design is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution or retail environment with a large non-exempt employee population preferred.
  • Clear and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
  • Demonstrated experience and ability developing strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective in listening and responding timely to internal and external customer questions and concerns. Ability to demonstrate empathy, especially related to sensitive situations.
  • Creative problem solver with the proven ability to drive progress on both the urgent and the important-but-not-urgent business objectives
  • Strategic leadership, teamwork, training, facilitation, conflict resolution and project management skills.
  • Proficient & advanced skill use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word); Expert Excel skills required.
  • Previous Human Resource Information System (HRIS) experience. Specific experience with Ceridian Dayforce or Bswift would be a plus.
  • Ability to participate in limited Business Travel (5%)

Physical requirements and work environment:

  • Performs work required for this position in an office environment.
  • Remains sedentary for moderate to extended periods of time.
  • Required to use a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse for extended periods of time.

Occasionally works irregular hours to meet department deadlines, participate in department projects and activities, and accommodate client's schedules or to respond to handle problems that may affect the performance and functionality of the company websites.
