Benefits Specialist

We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. They will report directly to our Benefits Manager and will assist with the day-to-day administration of the company's benefits programs. They will consult and advise on eligibility, amounts of coverage, and claims procedures, as well as assist with the annual open enrollment process for Regent and its portfolio companies. This individual will ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing benefits practices, and will also ensure that vendors are administering programs accurately and are abiding to contractual obligations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • 2+ years in benefits administration
  • Experience in a multi-site, global environment is highly desirable
  • HRIS familiarity (Workday, Namely, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of benefits terminology, concepts, and practices – along with the ability to stay abreast of change
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations including ERISA, Healthcare Reform Act, COBRA, FMLA, etc.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information/data
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
