Job description

This role guides teens in an after-school setting within the Best Buy Teen Tech Center located in our Gary Club. Teens create art, music and animations; design their own clothing, program a robot, fly a drone, host a podcast and much more. This person ensures a safe and equitable environment while helping teens connect their hobbies and passions to real-world career opportunities.

• Actively engage with teens to help leverage technology and encourage their projects
• Build rapport with teens and serve as a positive role model
• Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment/diagnose issues and provide solutions
• Support special events that include employer tours, job shadows, career fairs, college and trade school tours, and senior graduation
• Support required reporting by gathering data/paperwork necessary to comply with Workforce Innovation & Opportunities Act funding.
• Operate a BGC mini bus for employer field trips and tours
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving teen experiences
• Other duties as assigned
