ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our team as a Bilingual Family Partner and be a formal member of the Wraparound team to serve the family (particularly the caregiver and other natural supports) and help them engage by actively participating on the team to make informed decisions that drive the Wraparound process. Our Family Partners have a strong connection to the community and are very knowledgeable about resources, services, and supports for caregivers. Your personal experience as a consumer of mental health services is critical to building rapport and trust with caregivers, and advocating for their needs when necessary as you assume ownership of the Family Partner role. As a Family Partner you may become a mediator, facilitator, or bridge between families and agencies to ensure each family is heard and their individual needs are being addressed and met.

Responsibilities:
  • Use knowledge of community resources, school systems or other mental health services to help caregivers and families identify and connect to a family safety network or natural support team.
  • Complete action steps identified by the treatment team, which may include: support with transportation to medical or mental health appointments for caregiver or connection to basic needs resources in the community.
  • Work as a “collaborative advocate,” helping caregivers and family to understand the mandates and perspectives of other team members while navigating through private and/or public systems (i.e child welfare, adoptions, probation, and school) as required.
  • Deliver culturally competent and sensitive services by discovering what is important and unique to each family and tailoring service location, language or focus to those needs.
  • Model and utilize a strengths based approach when in all interactions with family as well as in required documentation.
  • Submit incident reports other necessary documentation in a timely and complete manner.
  • Participate in weekly supervision with Supervisor, and Wraparound team meetings as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Personal experience with own child who has been the recipient of mental health services.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy.
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster required.
  • Experience or interest in working with families.
  • Ability to work as a team player and with a diverse population.

Preferred:

  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Schedule:
  • Full-time; 40 hours a week.
Benefits:
  • Starting at $25 per hour. Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification.
