Job description

The Billing Specialist performs a variety of general tasks including preparing bills for insurance submission, payer set up, preparing deposits, posting cash and follow up collection activities utilizing Procentive software. Word and excel.

Duties:

• Assure all payers are set up correctly in Procentive.
• Bill all Substance Abuse charges timely and correctly. Perform account audit to ensure all charges have been appropriately billed.
• Provide timely and correct application of all payments received including ACH, EFT, cash and checks.
• Perform timely collection follow-up to ensure all services delivered are paid timely and correctly.
• Maintain effective communication with payers, and staff.
• Promote continuous self-development and growth. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest compliance requirements and payer regulations and establish best practices.
• Other areas as identified to support the financial function of the organization

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Detailed knowledge of Medicaid and third party reimbursement.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
• Procentive experience required
• Proficiency in multi-tasking, adherence to deadlines, and the ability to identify and resolve billing issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
