JOB TITLE: Bistro Server
REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Greets customers, monitors stations, handles incoming telephone calls, and processes customer payments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees training and development of the Bistro team
- consults with Assistant General Manager on Ordering supplies
- Ensure team is in compliance with Marriott and North Carolina Health and Food Safety Protocols.
- Remains fully knowledgeable of menu prices, daily specials, menu items and register systems.
- Monitors guest's needs.
- Checks station for neatness, cleanliness, proper setup, and backup supplies.
- Remains alert to the operation of the dining room.
- Tenders payment and processes in the computer/register having an account by the end of the shift.
- Completes daily abstracts and recordings of specific forms to be used by management. Issues all checks to be used and records all control sheets.
- Receives all incoming telephone calls to the restaurant. Takes reservations properly as assigned by management.
- Maintains a positive working atmosphere in the dining room and in all areas of contact operationally.
- Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Environmental Conditions: Inside: Protection from weather conditions.
Essential Skills: Knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures. Requires knowledge of menu prices and daily specials. Requires ability to operate restaurant register system and to utilize simple mathematical skills in totaling costs and making change. Requires ability to work well with the public and professionally present the hotel/restaurant. Requires knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.

Educational/Vocational Preparation: High school graduate or equivalent is required. Must possess ability to professionally represent the hotel and communicate positively with the guests. Must have ability to utilize mathematical skills in totaling costs and making change.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
