The Biztalk Admin role is responsible for a large Biztalk infrastructure at Unum. This role includes but not limited to the following:

- working with Biztalk developers on debugging on sub prod and prod Biztalk servers
- installing updates (Cumulative Updates, Service Packs) to keep Biztalk up to date
- point of contact for security patches
- planning and supporting stress testing each environment
- setting up message tracking in all environments for Biztalk developers
- working with our Biztalk Architect on best practices and information sharing
- working closely with the DBAs in keeping the Biztalk DBs efficient and sized properly

Any experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and C# is a plus.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop technology solutions based on customer requirements.
• Work with Developers and Architects in developing configurations based on requirements.
• Identify and apply innovative technologies to update existing environment.
• Create and maintain documentation for Biztalk installations, changes and upgrades.
• Train Junior Engineers on Biztalk updates and new installations.
• Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades.
• Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in timely and accurate manner to improve application performance and functionality.
• Develop and implement strategies for migration, consolidation and upgrade of Biztalk components.
• Evaluate system architecture and make recommendations as required.
• Develop and implement standard processes for installation, maintenance and enhancement of Biztalk applications.

Core skills that are required :

• Maintain environment uptime by monitoring BizTalk Server exceptions and resolving BizTalk Server specific issues.
• Create new hosts, Add and configure adapters, Create new MessageBox databases, Add additional BizTalk servers as required for scale out, Create new BizTalk groups.
• Debug application errors, Manage load across the BizTalk Server group
• Deploy new applications into the BizTalk Server environment, Manage strong name keys
• Support new service solutions, new technologies, Systems, applications, hardware changes, configuration management, release management
• Security administration, System administration, Network administration, Service monitoring and control, Directory services administration, Storage management, Job scheduling
