Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Boeing Production System (BPS) First-Line Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Team in Renton, Washington on 1st or 2nd Shift.

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to strengthen One BPS culture, tools and key performance indicators. Candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to inspire others during moments of change. This includes delivering good news and leading difficult conversations. A great candidate is able to envision a complex organizational structure and learn to navigate it and leverage connections. Within Manufacturing we promote a first pass quality approach and require our leaders to be committed to our team members' success. Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a plan to implement our One Boeing Production System.
  • Lead with a deep understanding of the One BPS standards.
  • Establish measures of success and ensure supervisors and teams have the appropriate metrics.
  • Use leader standard work to monitor progress through periodic checks and be accountable for performance.
  • Monitor and coach peers, leaders and direct reports on One BPS standards.
  • Remove roadblocks that are inhibiting progress to our OneBPS vision; seek help from leadership team and support, when required.
  • Communicate performance and progress to all team members, peers and leaders.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement and systematic problem-solving.
  • Directly interface with teams; find opportunities to personally instruct and coach them by conducting daily gemba walks and participating in tier meetings.
  • Be visible on all shifts and ensure communication occurs between them.
  • Ensure strategic alignment and support, and participate in improvement projects.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Employment, and the continuity of employment of non-U.S. persons, is contingent upon the company’s ability to secure and maintain the necessary export control authorization.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Ability to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends.
  • 1+ years of experience improving processes using continuous improvement techniques.
  • 1+ years of experience performing in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Demonstrated adaptability when faced with a new challenge.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and forge connections when under pressure.
  • Passion for celebrating successes and ability to identify "small wins" for the team.

Relocation

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: 105,400 – 142,600
