POSITION DESCRIPTION: Boiler Operator and Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Sisters of St. Francis Maintenance Supervisor

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time; Non-Exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY: Seeking a maintenance technician to operate and monitor boiler in buildings owned by the Sisters of St. Francis and Lourdes University to include:

• start-up, normal operation and shutdown – turns valves and adjust controls to specified fuel feed, draft openings, and repair of boiler related steam and condensation systems
• Conduct boiler testing and boiler tune-ups – maintain and load vats – monitor the water discharged from the vats for PH content every other hour
• Monitor efficiencies, troubleshoot issues – conduct regular safety checks

The position’s responsibilities will not be limited to boiler systems, but may include repairs and maintenance to include any and all building trade work and various new projects and renovations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
