POSITION SUMMARY:

WE CLOSE AT 9PM - NO LATE NIGHTS

The team member greets and serves guests, prepares products according to spec, and maintains food safety and sanitation standards. The team member also processes customer transactions via cash & credit cards. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and cook to order chicken and a variety of other foods that require only a short preparation time
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment
• Verify food meets quality and quantity expectations
• Take food and drink orders and receive payment from customers
• Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions and preparation and cooking of food accordingly
• Wash, Cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
• Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared
• Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously
• Display a passion for customer service and always put the customer first
• Adapt well to a changing environment
• Clean, stock and restock workstations

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Some high school or equivalent.

Experience & Skills: No previous experience is required. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions: The Bojangles restaurant environment will offer some exposure to discomforting conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and noise from cooling units. Physical demands are moderately heavy, limited to lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Will be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
