Role Summary

Responsible for entering the Bill of Materials into the SAP system. This includes, part masters, MRP data, routings and RPS data. Part numbers shall be created and maintained based upon engineering bill of materials. Ensures the smooth transition for all engineering changes and communicates effectively to minimize obsolescence and operational issues

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the SAP MRP system.
• Participates in all program activities that affect the BOM and ECN’s.
• MSC liaison for all departments to ensure effective engineering changes.
• Tracks all of the milestones on an engineering change and communicates effectively to all departments.
• Follows the company and group guidelines for new part set up parameters.
• Ensures that lead times, scrap and shrink factors and safety stock limits are documented and approved if there is a variance to the company parameters.
• Ensures part number revision levels are accurate from the BOM all the way to the supplier or customer labels.
• Submits IT help desk tickets and tracks until closure.
• Ensures that all supplier, MSC and customer shipments are identified with the applicable ECN documentation.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• High School Diploma, College/University accreditation.

• High level of experience working with MRP systems
• High proficiency in typing
• Proficient in Microsoft products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• SAP Knowledge
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a manner which best satisfies Cam-Slide’s overall needs
• Good problem solver
• Motivated self-starter, with the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and achieve goals

Additional Information

• Ensures that all product going through an ECN is segregated and stored effectively for no cross contamination.
• Ensure Obsolete Material due to ECN is properly disposed physically and in the system (in case this needs to be charged to customer, ensure charge back is issue and effectively proposed).
• Requests/reviews corrective action (8D’s) for ECN non-compliance issues.
• Enter ECN violations in the QPF system to ensure supplier performance tracking.
