We are presently recruiting for a Bookkeeper for our clients, an established practice in Killarney, County Kerry. You will be responsible for monthly bookkeeping, VAT and Payroll for a group of clients and progress to assisting our accounts department with quarterly financial reports to clients. This is a rare opportunity to experience how cloud software has transformed bookkeeping with a focus on helping clients do better business rather than on data entry.

Job responsibilities:

• Data entry requirements
• Using cloud based software such as Thesaurus for payroll, Collsoft, Big Red Book and Excel.
• Experience with Revenue online procedures is a distinct advantage.
• Interacting with sole traders and SME’s
• The provision of a full bookkeeping service to our clients including Payroll, RCT & VAT submissions.
• Liaising with both clients and other team members to ensure a timely service is provided.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

Application Requirements:

• Minimum two years’ experience in a bookkeeping role is required.
• A Payroll / Bookkeeping Qualification (ATI, AAT or IPASS) is a distinct advantage.
• Strong communicator with an ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Good IT skills and experience of using a cloud accounting package is an advantage.

This position is based in Killarney and offers the opportunity of working in office two days per week and three days remotely. A salary in the region of €30 – €35,00 is offered. Ideally you will have a mixture of practice and industry experience.
