We have an opportunity for a self-driven and organized accounting professional that thrives working in environments with tight deadlines and minimal supervision. Located in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, this Bookkeeper role will be a permanent opening. You will direct the month-end closing, reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as the Bookkeeper. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. - Supply cash flow projections, as needed
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
- Enter Accounts Payable
- Conduct monthly accounting close
- Maintain general ledger
- Lead Accounts Receivable
- Iron out subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Supplementary assignments when necessary
- Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Verify monthly accounting close
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
- Crucial accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Quickbooks Online experience
