Job Description

Silent Falcon is searching for a new bookkeeper to join our Finance Department. In this role, you will help our company with daily financial transaction, recored keeping, monitor cash flow, produce financial reports and many more.

The role of a Bookkeeper is one of the critical part of the company. You will be looking at our financial statement to monitor and maintain the balance general ledger and different project budgets. The ideal candidate will have excellent accounting knowledge and understanding of data entry and accounting principles.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining records of financial transactions by collecting data from each department.
• Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts
• Maintaining a balanced general ledger
• Preparing a trial balance for the accountants
• Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
• advising management on compliance needs.
• assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices

Education and Experiences

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline (preferred)
• at least 2-3 years experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting software such as Quickbooks
• Knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP or other industry-standard accounting frameworks
• Data entry
• Deep understanding of accounting principles
• Confidentiality
• Comfortable dealing with huge volumes of complex data

The Location

Silent Falcon is located in Front Royal, VA and Albuquerque, NM. While both locations are great places to live, you can work remotely within the continental United States depending on the position you are applying for. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
