SUMMARY
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Roseburg Depot that includes managing sales, employee supervision, and organizing the distribution needs of the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.
Supervise all employees; Route Supervisor, Roseburg Salesmen, drivers, merchandiser(s).
Oversee the hiring and discipline of all employees working out of the Roseburg Depot. Communicate any employee concerns or issues with the Owners or Director of Human Resources.
Provide Leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
Develop sales strategies and set sales goals for Roseburg.
Knowledge of the Route Administrator and NAV applications on the office computer.
Monitor team’s performance and motivate them to reach target sales goals.
Accomplish Depot objectives by scheduling and managing staff.
Monitor Route Sales Supervisors performance.
Prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.
Manage compliance with State and Federal regulations (OSHA, Federal Motor Carrier, BOLI, ADA, etc.)
Ensure company compliance with safety and policies.
Maintain professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations and societies.
Knowledge of all products both current and new.
Answer and return all phone calls daily from, customers, co-workers, employees and the public.
Become skilled at operating the Hand Held route accounting computer and printer assigned to each driver.
Report vehicle and safety concerns to Distribution/Fleet Manager and Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in Roseburg.
Tend to customer requests, complaints and demands. Communicate any necessary concerns to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Director Sales of Marketing, Warehouse Distribution Manager, etc.
Review ADP to monitor employee time sheets.
Examine bills and expenses associated with Roseburg Depot. Approve and forward to Roseburg for payment. Monitor expenses for your depot. Make sure they are within budget and are reasonable and expected.
Build relationships and be active in community projects, events and organizations.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES
Perform yearly evaluations.
Review Dump Reports monthly and monitor dump leaving the warehouse. Make sure it is accounted for.
Assist in filling out incident/accident reports, forward information to the proper individuals.
Monitor Umpqua shelf space in existing stores to make sure that there are no changes to our dairy or ice cream sets.
Make sure all price changes are handed out and communicated to accounts and drivers.
Coordinate with staffing services to arrange for individuals to perform demos of products and merchandising.
Coordinate depot sales meeting for sales staff at least quarterly to communicate information to employees.
Attend Supervisor and Sales meetings in Roseburg on a monthly basis.
Actively participate in interviews for new personnel.
Budget sales, expenses and labor for the Roseburg depot yearly.
Meet with the President and COO and Director of Sales & Marketing yearly in Roseburg for performance review and goal setting.
When shorthanded assist by covering the route drivers or office duties.

18 years of age or older
Knowledge of principals and methods for merchandising, promoting and selling products
Market knowledge

Ability to work under pressure; organized and efficient use of time, set priorities to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Ability to read, interpret and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures to others
Must be responsible, reliable and results driven
Be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screens
Must be able to pass a physical and criminal background
Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work in a variety of environments, (summer heat and winter cold)
Good math skills
Computer skills, Excel and MS Word
Maintain a good personal appearance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises 12-14 subordinate employees including the Sales Associate, Route Supervisor and Sales Admin. The Sales Manager schedules and monitors employees, approves time cards, checks overtime, disciplines, trains employees, and gives day-to-day direction to the routes drivers and merchandiser.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years management experience. Previous sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
