When you join PPGNY as a Budget Analyst you will work directly with the CFO and you will liaise with financial reporting and PPGNY departments in order to create narratives around PPGNY's financial activity.

Additional responsibilities include:

    • Preparation of the analytics that are provided as support to Financial Reporting for month-end close. This package includes in-depth analytics to identify operational factors attributed to volume, revenue, and expense variances.
    • Working with the accounting and program teams, the Budget Analyst will be responsible for compiling and consolidating program budgets, updating forecasts throughout the year and ensuring that budget vs. actuals are closely monitored. They will also serve as a thought partner and produce budget modeling/planning as needed.
    • Support the CFO and finance team in the annual budget process as a clinical and operational liaison, providing departmental leadership the tools and support necessary to develop and to meet targets for the Operating Budget.
    • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to systematize the budget review and approval process in a high-volume setting.
    • In collaboration with PPGNY management, the Budget Analyst will help to develop and establish process that will be used by team members in the monthly review and approval of invoices.
    • Assist the Finance team and CFO on special projects that require financial analysis. This position utilizes MIP accounting software and Excel to prepare ad-hoc analyses providing critical data to aid development of strategic initiatives.
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested.
    • Provides support to Department VPs and Department Directors in monitoring monthly expenses, ensuring adherence to budgeted targets and the goals of the institution.
    • Coordinates with departments on implementing staffing strategies that will reduce cost and improve efficiency.
    • Responsible for collaboration with Data Management to ensure that system dictionaries and information is up-to-date.
    • Work with the Finance team to streamline internal financial reports and reporting processes to deliver more efficient, more effective, and more useful reports and analysis.
    • Responsible for working with Central Budgeting and Corporate Financial Reporting departments to monitor corporate expenses and monthly allocations to budget

You have:

    • Master’s degree preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Minimum work experience
    • 5 + previous budget analyst experience
    • Expert in data analytics tools such as Excel and Tableau
    • Experience with accounting software MIB/Abila
    • Experience with EMRs ECW and EPIC
    • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations and other reimbursement methodologies
    • Knowledge of Managed Care contracts
    • A demonstrated commitment to PPGNY’s mission related to bodily autonomy, health equity, and gender and racial justice

Compensation:

    • $75,000-90,000 yearly.

Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
