Details about this exciting opportunity:

  • Full-Time Budget and Reporting Analyst to work in our Finance department located at our Headquarters in White Plains, NY.
  • This role will be responsible for a broad range of data analysis and reporting responsibilities.
  • Compensation: $67,000 - $70,000/year.
  • This position is currently hybrid.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting and providing direct support in the development of the company’s overall budget document, and at the departmental level,
  • Assisting and providing support with Federal Grants, policies and regulations, CFRs, FFRs, Single Audit (A133) and government contract audits,
  • Assisting with the budget preparation manual, budget policies and procedures manual, and other documents as needed.
  • Assisting Senior Budget Manager, by conducting various data analysis, research, cost-benefit analyses, salary and labor allocation, units of services, and expenditure and revenue forecasting.
  • Assisting with projecting future financial needs and collaborates with budget manager and other management personnel to prepare long-term financial plans, and other budget and financial reports.
  • Assisting with budget analysis and recommendations to upper level management at the beginning of each budgetary cycle.
  • Assisting in the regular reporting and financial analysis of the budget/forecast to actual variance reports for program and department managers.
  • Developing, organizing, and maintaining files, documents, and materials relating to budgetary practices according to company’s policies.
  • Overseeing and comparing departmental expenditures to original budget.
  • Providing information and answers to departments regarding budgets, forecasts, surveys, financial trends, and other requested data.

If you have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
  • Five plus years’ experience in accounting and finance is required.

And Attributes:

  • Experience in nonprofit industry, preferable in social services organization.
  • Proficient in accounting software Intacct (preferable but not necessary) and budgeting and planning software (e.g. Adaptive, Vena or other similar system).
  • Have knowledge of Single Audit (A133), SEFA and procedures.
  • Have some knowledge of OMH and OPWDD programs and reports to state such as CFRs (preferable but not necessary).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong Excel and Powerpoint experience).
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and budgeting principles and practices, statistical methodology, generally accepted accounting principles, and generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Basic understanding of and ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ability to skillfully perform detailed statistical analyses of budget activities.
  • Ability to prepare and present clear, concise administrative and financial reports.
  • Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule.
  • Ability to interpret financial data contained in reports and ledgers.
