Position Title: Installer/Helper

Location: MD/DC/Northern, VA

Compensation: $16.00-$23.00 per hour

Job Function: Install conduit, wire relays, and control related field devices as per Mechanical and Automatic Temperature Control Drawings. Position can lead to a Building Automation Controls Technician position.

Principle Duties:

• Run control wire as per industry standard.
• Install conduit and fittings per industry standard.
• Climb ladders / conduct work with proper safety restraints. Most work will be conducted from a 6ft to 10ft ladder but could be higher.
• Mount and terminate controllers, sensors, and end devices.
• Maintain and aid in daily jobsite cleaning as directed by supervisor / foreman. These tasks may include vacuuming, sweeping, moping, dusting, protecting items with plastic, trash removal, etc.
• Troubleshoot wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments.
• Proper use of tools, test instruments, and equipment commonly used in the direct digital controls technician field.
• Take instruction from team leader / foreman to aid in productivity of projects. Must be ready to learn from on-the-job training. Assist and work with mechanics assigned to projects tasks by the foreman or project manager.
• Day or night work shift depending on the project schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, agencies and customers.
• Work in areas exposed to weather related to this region that doesn t cause risk to life or compromise safety. Some projects may be open deck construction sites.
