POSITION SUMMARY

As the Building Maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of our buildings and facilities by conducting routine maintenance and repair tasks. You will also be required to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with various building systems and equipment and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed. The ideal candidate should have experience in building maintenance and repair, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and other building systems as needed.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and determine repairs that are needed.
  • Perform minor repairs, such as patching walls, fixing broken windows, and repairing doors.
  • Ensure that all processes are followed safely and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory.
  • Assess and repair issues. Must be able to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and dry wall repairs and snow removal.
  • Keeps tools clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies ad equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required.

Experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Familiarity with HVAC plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.

Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and Windows.
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
