OrthAlign, Inc., a Smart Technology, growing medical device company, has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager, responsible for the creation and implementation of specific market and customer growth plans to achieve current business objectives. The individual will analyze, monitor, and report on existing account and market metrics to track the effectiveness and optimize the strategy to achieve these objectives. The role requires heavy collaboration with the Sales and Product Marketing Teams. The role may be remote or based in Aliso Viejo, CA, with expected travel about 30%.
You will:
- Research and report on account capacity, economics, and dynamics to determine how they may be optimized for growth in liaison with the Sales Team.
- Develop account-by-account strategies to ensure a high level of customer retention and growth.
- Support field based tactical activities including account on-boarding, distributor training, lab support, case coverage, and other needs as required.
- Develop means to optimize the overall efficiency of the sales process and distributors field forces.
- Provide recommendations and assist distributors sales force to create sales opportunities in the market.
- Assess competitive threats and implement proactive tactics to counter the threats. Develop effective product materials to target the different customer segments. Perform other duties as assigned.
You need:
- Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member as well as independently
- Excellent attention to detail, producing high quality output appropriate to broader context
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Applies sound judgment when making decisions and communicating with peers and management
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully
