IT Business Development Manager for Insurance Vertical (Life, Pensions, General Insurance)
Job Purpose and primary objectives:
They are seeking a BDM / BDD to generate significant new business sales and revenue in the Insurance sector across Ireland. The majority of the sales will be created through selling a broad range of IT services into prospects / key clients within these sectors.
The key responsibilities are as follows:
· To assist in creating, agree and implement the business development/sales strategy, consultative approach, and objectives for the target market
· To identify key opportunities, identify and develop compelling propositions and business cases
· To ensure routine use of bid review / approval processes, sales reporting, and pipeline management tools
· To develop and maintain the most senior level relationships within target market / accounts in order to maximize sales opportunities
· To lead a sales pursuit involving responding to formal bids and taking end to end responsibility including solution, quality of response, contract negotiations to closure, financials / commercials, post closure supporting the growth of the account etc.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
The client are looking for someone to join the team to develop the business opportunities and maximise sales revenue through consultative process. The suitable candidate will have an understanding of the market, pain areas of the prospects, be target driven and hungry to achieve results, they will have the ability to forge effective commercial relationships at all levels and will be able to use their tenacity and experience to drive value. They will need to believe in the vision and values of the client.
This successful candidate will be required to understand the value that outsourcing brings to organisations. This person must have a track record of sales in outsourcing deals within the Insurance sector. They will fundamentally understand the territory, the science of consultative selling of IT services and have strong commercial awareness. They will need to have an innovative approach to deal structures and be able to be highly credible with Clients.
Experience required:
· Degree qualified
· Extensive experience of the industry
· Relevant experience of competing in the market.
· Experience of working in virtual teams spread over multiple locations and countries.
· Broad experience of the IT industry, markets, trends, technologies and their implications.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €80,000.00-€90,000.00 per year
