SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager for Test & Measurement capabilities will aggressively pursue new business with a particular emphasis on revenue growth of CIT’s T&M product/capabilities into multiple market segments. The BDM will manage some existing accounts but will be primarily tasked with executing the promotion of CIT products both directly and through our Regional BDM’s into identified accounts globally. The BDM will draw from significant experience selling into these segments to accelerate Carlisle IT’s growth. The BDM will be highly motivated, energetic, and have a passion for winning new business and delivering innovative solutions to Customers. The BDM will relish the
green field selling landscape inherent to this assignment, will be self-driven and will be able operate both autonomously and in the team environment. The BDM will have a working knowledge of Ganged RF and other interconnect products applicable to the targeted markets.
The BDM will work closely with Product Management and Engineering to consult on new product development opportunities tailored to meet the needs of prospective Customers within these segments, and more broadly, will help influence the development of a product roadmap geared to address the needs of these segments. The BDM will support growth the opportunity funnel for Carlisle IT as well as develop and execute on action plans to successfully close those opportunities resulting in new business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develops new business within assigned market segments.
- Develops high value relationships at all levels within new and existing accounts, establishing personal trust and credibility, and linking those customer relationships back to internal peers.
- Establishes an identity and broad recognition of CarlisleIT as a technology partner of choice within new accounts.
- Developing and executing strategic account plans: Work to develop and execute a strategic account plan for each key account, with the goal of identifying opportunities for growth and aligning the company's products or services with the account's needs and priorities.
- Conducting market research and analysis: The combined role would be responsible for conducting market research and analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, as well as developing insights into customer needs and preferences.
- Collaborating with product development teams to ensure that new products or services are aligned with customer needs and priorities, and that they are effectively communicated to key accounts.
- responsible for developing and presenting sales proposals, product demonstrations, and other materials to key accounts, as well as negotiating contracts, pricing, and other terms of sale.
- Analyze sales and financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections for reporting to CIT leadership (Monthly & Annually).
- Attend industry meetings, conferences, trade shows, online seminars, plus other events, and perform product demonstrations at these where and when appropriate, along with assistance from Field Applications Engineer
- Develop sales strategies, develop sales training, identify and improve sales resources and tools.
- Managing customer issues and concerns: The Business Development Manager portion of the role would involve managing customer issues and concerns, including handling complaints and providing timely solutions to problems. Processes mapping current procedures and implementing process improvement plans where applicable.
- responsible for tracking performance metrics such as revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and product adoption rates, and using this data to inform future strategy and decision-making.
- Attends and supports the planning of Carlisle IT’s presentation at trade shows and other industry events.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the industry.
- Other duties as required in support of the company and/or sales division.

Salary
$120k - $145k
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in a business development/ sales role, including all aspects of sales development and execution.
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Business, or related degree;
- A technical background within electrical/electronics interconnection is beneficial, along with experience in dealing with military/defense and space/satellite customers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, NDA’s, and regulatory documents.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and high-level financial proposals.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to understand and work with financial reports and data (e.g., P&L statements, Cost Workups, Pricing, Gross Margin, and other product analysis metrics)
- Ability to collect data and construct portfolio analysis models and analytics and reports
